Software Firm Launches Next-Generation Management Platform

Ledgex Systems, a provider of software solutions for funds
of funds and multi-fund managers, has launched the next generation of its
Ledgex portfolio management platform.
The integrated suite delivers liquidity management and
manager research modules that give firms visibility into their
existing and proposed portfolio liquidity options, in addition to research and
analytics, the firm said in a statement. For instance, the liquidity modelling utility and reporting
engine generates every available option for accessing assets by processing each
tranche and its respective trade characteristics with a manager’s liquidity
terms. As such, the firm said that the platform can model more than 90 percent
of the manager liquidity terms used in the industry. “Increasingly complex fund and investment structures
combined with changing regulations have dramatically shifted the liquidity and
portfolio management requirements of fund of funds, institutional investors and
other multi-fund managers,” said Brian Macallister, managing director at Ledgex
Systems, when commenting on the need for a more advanced system. In total, the new technology suite features four modules: Ledgex
Portfolio Manager, Ledgex Manager Research, Ledgex Liquidity and Ledgex
Investor Relations. In this respect, the research module combines customer
relationship management, document management and research management
capabilities, with the entire portfolio management strategy. It also provides a
tool to track firm-defined manager attributes, including exposures, allocation
weighting, attribution, assets under management and investor concentration.
